Welcome!
This site is the home to the study of mixed orientation marriages. Mixed orientation marriages are defined as a marriage in which one spouse experiences same sex attractions and the other spouse is heterosexual. The purpose of the study is to understand the characteristics of these marriages and the experiences of individuals in them. Participants can be currently in a mixed orientation marriage or have been previously. If you or someone you know fits this description and would like to participate in the study, please click on one of the links below. All participation is anonymous and responses will be kept confidential and will only be used for research purposes; however, participants will be given the option of sharing limited contact information at the end of the survey to participate in future follow-up studies, if desired. This is not required for participation in the current survey.
PLEASE NOTE: There are separate links for the spouse who is a sexual minority (experiences same sex attraction) and the heterosexual spouse. Please be careful to click on the correct link when participating.
UPDATE: The surveys will be closing Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 at midnight. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, or if you need to finish a survey started previously, please do so by this time.
